We should all read this book. Written by two people that have developed leaders over the years at West Point it takes you to the heart of leadership. Character and integrity lead to winning in so many ways. The illustrations are not only from West Point and the military but from several other areas of life like family, business and non-profits. The most interesting section for me was on mentoring that is really done in three ways, informally, regular connected mentors and then special mentors for those that have compromised their character and are willing to work to restore it. This will challenge those that have allowed the desire for a goal to allow their integrity to be compromised. The encouraging word is that even then you can restore that and once again be trusted by others. The work can be difficult but is always worthwhile. You can Purchase here: |
